watch is a couple differences between the early tr-900 and later examples. The early 11/64 tr-900 have -Heavy case back engraving -Dark lume patina on hour, minutes and lighter on the second hand. The later 8/68 tr-900 have -Ligher case back engraving -he... 

At the exception of Billy's one and mine: Billy Schorr's TR 900: Mine: As for the 1966 batch, the few I saw came with matching hands, and it seems that yes, the case back are differently engraved. But I never knew if it was the fact of polished case backs...

I reckon the difference in engraving detail could be literally to do with the set up of the machine. If these are limited run watches (2 batches), then it might just be due to the engraver settings, the condition of the bit etc etc, especially if it's con... 

You can clearly see the much different method of engraving in person. When i first saw this example i was a little weary of the case back. But i have seen other later examples. It does not appear to be just a lighter engraving. Its looks like it was erode...  

James purchased the watch from Bp a while ago and its the only unissued Tr-900 known. It was never issued a serial number but its clearly a later example by the case back etching. The watch was nos. Notice the blue on his moisture meter. B

All the 64 issue TR's I've owned and others I've seen "in the flesh", have all had the dark lume in the hour and minute hands, except for the seconds hand, which always seem to be the same colour as the hour markers!!!! I have also noticed that all the TR...
