Vintage servicing / restoration
I'm looking at purchasing a vintage calatrava and many of the examples I have seen have movements that have not been treated particularly well by watchmakers or the owners over-enthusiastic children with scratches and oxisisation on the steel parts.
Can anyone who has sent a vintage watch in for service or restoration confirm if visible steel parts with scratches or small rust spots are either replaced or repolished as standard?
Many thanks
John
