UN movement purity...???
A few thoughts would be appreciated on UN's use of "common" base movements in their lower end watches. It seems that all of the other brands that are represented on this site manufacture at least one "in-house" simple movement. From what I understand, not even the UN perp. mvt. is totally in-house. Compare a simple 1846 Marine Chronometer with a JLC Master Grand Taille, both at the same price point, and there seems to be a huge difference in value. I guess I just wonder why a brand like UN ends up on "The PuristS" before one like JLC which is a true manufacture.
