Thoughts
Well I thought that this was a Forum for lovers of Patek Philippe. Obviously it is an avenue for some who are not too impressed. My reaction is- well go somewhere else then ! My feelings are, it is human nature to aspire to the very best of something, whether it is a car, home, football team or whatever. I think that we feel and the world in general feels that Patek Philippe watches are the best. I really don't think that this is a company marketing a dream, any more than Rolls Royce or Porche aim for. It's just that we know, they know and anyone else with any knowledge knows.

Being a Rolex user (Platt DD.) I still agree that PP is the best Timepiece in the world I would purchase one ASAP if I though I would not beat it to death. I am just to hard on my watches.

James - I wear my 5712 every day - sure it gets scratched and starts to develop a worn look but so what - it was purchased to be used every day and I respect the ethos of the company and the design resonates with my taste Sure Rolex are also great watches...

I do not think that anybody in his/her full mind would pay the price of new Pateks without believing that it is a grat brand from the top of the world. At the same time, if like in my case, when three watches out of three newly bought watches totally fail...

I am OK with those that are 'not too impressed' with Patek participating in this forum. Let's not be all fan-boys and Kool-Aid drinkers. As long as their opinion is stated with logic and reason (and respectfully) I am fine listening to what others have to...
