This or that?
Dear all,
During the pandemic I have spent a lot (too much?) time thinking on optimizing my watch collection, and have come to the conclusion that I should look at watches in terms of « categories », for certain use cases:
For instance 1-2 dress watches, to go with the few days during which one wears a suit or feels like dressing up. For instance, 1-2 luxury sport watch for the days where (nice) casual dress code is « de Rigueur ».
And now, I’m looking for a casual, sporty chrono - probably vintage inspired - to just take along for a drink on a terrace during the summer months. Had earlier à Breguet type xx that I foolishly let go.
Have selected on my long list the following models, and I would love your thoughts on the same - and see some pictures if you happen to have some:
•Zénith manufacture a386
•Heuer carrera 160 with Montréal inspired dial
•Breguet type xx - version 3803
•Breitling avi 1953

This A 386 has everything a timepiece needs. It oozes pedigré; And the mechanics on board are almost High Hororlogy.; imho! But, if you can, go to Le Locle and let the fine people at Zenith show you arround the house..., then buy it there, for extra pleas...
Idea for post covid trip?
Thanks for the hint, will look into that. Right now, not sure if I can so easily sneak across borders. But these times will come back, hopefully soon. If I do so, will of course share some pictures as well!
