This Can't Be Right?

Well now, one week after owning my JLC EWA it decided to stop working, but temporarily.  I put it to rest in its box at night as I do every night, and given that it doesn't have a power reserve indicator, I am not sure how much power reserve is left, so I wind the crown about 100 twists.  I do this every night since owning it, but last night it decided to stop working at about 3:00 am after I had put it to rest (and wounded) at 7:00 PM.  So I was startled to see this halted watch in the morning.  I turned the crown numerous times to wind, but that did not start the watch running.  So I picked it up to shake it and it instantly started running.  That can't be right?  The watch should wind from either the rotor spinning or by turning the crown (crown B, crown A is for the alarm) to wind.  I don't mind too much the aesthetic problems I described in an earlier post, but I do mind mechanical problems.  I am wondering whether this may be a one time problem, an intermitent problem, or a regular long term problem?  Anyone else encounter similar event with their JLC, irregardless of the model?

(P.S. this is not a picture of the watch stopped at 3:00 am, but one I took the day before)
