The Marine can be strapped
As noted in a thread below, it can be tricky to change the strap on the new style Breguet Marine, in large part because you need two screwdrivers for the bar between the lugs and because the screws can be fairly firm.
This week, however, I did it, and it really was no problem. I ordered two 2.5mm Bergeon screwdrivers to help on the project, which helped tremendously. Just the right size and sufficiently sturdy. Next, I used plentiful amounts of painter?s tape, to avoid any scratching of the watch?s polished surfaces.
The project was completed successfully, and the watch has a new look, all without any scratches:
The watch is wonderful whatever strap it is on, from dressy black crocodile to casual black rubber. I?ll enjoy it this way for a while, though the summer might call for a return to the rubber.
