The definite GO/Meissen combination! (pics)
During our PuristS trip to Glash?tte Original in October 2003, we were also invited to pay a visit to the world famous Meissen porcelain factory. Glash?tte Original has a long-standing co-operation with Meissen, resulting in several, strictly limited series of valuable watches with thin, hand-painted porcelain dials. For an account on this visit, please read our great Glash?tte trip report:

One of our participants is an avid fan of these rare Meissen GOs, and has a small collection of them. Some have been shown here already:

Our dear colleague was so impressed by the meticulous work of the painters and porcelain makers, that he spontaneously asked the meissen staff, if it would be possible to order two plates, being adorned with the same paintings as his two "Last edition" watches. It was, and after a several months' wait, he finally received the two plates. Thankfully, he shares this great combination with us:

Handwinding 1845 "Red Last Edition", in pink gold

Handwinding 1845 "Blue Last Edition", in stainless steel
My congratulations, and thanks for showing them to us!
