Taking the ABR to its proper home
I again have the opportunity to visit my old alma mater more often these days, meaning trips to St.Gallen - also the spiritual home of our community ABR watch. As my Chrono One is in the spa and I fear going to Switzerland with a Grand Seiko (may get shot by a friendly border policeman
), the ABR was a natural choice.
So here I was, eagerly awaiting the chance to take the ABR home, waiting in the airport lounge. Not quite the natural choice for a suit but it slips under the cuff well enough and is sufficiently unobtrusive when so placed.
Excellent - the landscape seems right already! Just a little detour via Zürich and there we go
Trains planes and automobiles - here waiting for the middle choice at the airport
And on the train - possibly my first train picture here (or generally)
And here it is - where the ABR was born (possibly not in front of the Vadian statue but you get my drift)...
And now for the wristshot
Here's the man that navigated the city through the counter reformation and laid the cornerstone for us being to enjoy sanitary watches on our forum
Finally, some pictures of my alma mater. While lots has changed, many things remain the same
Seems to somehow fit quite nicely with the watch
