Take a look at the movement
Hello all...you may remember my original post of February 11 when I showed a few pictures of my UN chrono with the manual Valjoux 72 movement. I finally got one of those new fangled "horb" rubber balls and took the case back off. The movement is a work of art! Gold plating and machine work everywhere. Sorry for the quality of the pics, but I could not get a real sharp image of the movement. Hope you enjoy the pics...All the best, Dave

I love the look of these '70ies Chronos! This U.N is a spuerb example, indeed. Would love to see more and ( sorry for that ) better pics of the movement. Are there perlages as it seems to be on your pics? Best, and thanks for this post! Nicolas

Hello Nicolas...there is extensive perlage finishing to all of the gold portions of the movement including the base plates. Sorry for the quality of the pics, I can't seem to get my camera to focus very finely even in the macro mode. I'll try again and se...

Too bad they cover it up with a solid caseback. Is it an in house movt?
It's a Valjoux 72...
UN advised me that it was a Valjoux 72 made in 1966. UN took the movement and added the exceptional finishing. If you look at a Rolex Daytona of the same vintage with the same V72 movement, the finishing is nowhere near as elaborate as the UN.
