Spotted: Clean Green Vehicles

I had planned to post something else today, but I had this cache of photos in reserve for a special occasion. When the Dr. posted his pony, I decided this was a good time to remind PuristS that doing green stuff is good, even if others are doing more than their share of "GREEN" thus leaving some slack for us. So here we go into

Green green, it's green they say, on the far side of the hill,
Green, green, we're going away to where the grass is a greener still
I told my momma on the day I was born 'Don't ya cry when you see I'm gone'
Green green valley or rocky road, it's there I'm gonna make my home ...

Green, clean, it's green you see, on the far side of the road, Green clean, we're going away to ... a green and pleasant land... known as Hethel, Norfolk, Essex, etc.

One of the early Lotuses I haven't owned

Good thing there is a green Fiat 500 in front, blocking the view of the average pedestrian. These Lotus Cortinas are bringing upwards of $75,000 nowadays!

You won't find many 60-year-old vehicles as clean or green as this 2-Dr Ford Ranch Wagon (competitor to the Chevy Nomad wagon).

This Ford truck is clean, clean and green, cream.

Dang, bro .. this old truck is very nice!

Now quite so clean, but still green and now a 4x4, this trailer-towing special has a "don't mess with me" stance lent by its upgraded wheels and tires

Sticking with the Ford theme, here's an early green Falcon Ranchero, caught in action for you

also very clean and sweet condition. It's 55 years old

Another FoMoCo product, the Lincoln Town Car. Like the Cadillac, this is one of the American cars that prompted the saying  "I can't drive my apartment, but I can sleep in my car"

This one is also very clean and green, although not too "green" in the ecological sense.

We had a short run of Mustangs which qualify for the clean green post. This is known as "Tropic Green". Try to ignore that old Bronco in the back of the drive ...

I don't know what the marketing name for this color is, but it looks kinda green, to me.

While this is extraordinarily and officially known as  "Gotta Have It Green!"

Speaking of Gas Guzzlers, and England, here is a Green 2nd generation Range Rover that lives a few miles from me.

It's always at the curb in front of this house.

And less than 100 yards away lives another Green Range Rover 2nd generation model. It too is very clean and almost always at the curb in front of its house.

I have run out of Range Rovers and must now switch to a GM product. Yet another El Camino, in a greenish hue, TIGHTLY parked next to an old Jaguar.

I'm stretching the definition of green a little bit, but there are all these green trees hanging over the Jeep ...

I hope you all can rest quietly tonight with cigar and a whiskey, confident that we PuristS appreciate the greener things in life.
