So far we have seen three novelties prior to the start of SIHH 2015
The first is an expansion of the "Heritage" collection with the addition of the Spirit Oribus Terrarum. Finally a Cottier style world timer from Montblanc and a classical look which is, imho, an improvement over the aesthetics of their TImewalker Hemispheres model.

So will there be another model revealed for the Heritage collection? It would be eye opening if they added another model with a Villeret finished caliber.
The second new model for SIHH 2015 is the Timewalker Urban Speed.

For me this model is a combination of the aesthetics found on the Timewalker Extreme DLC chronograph and the Timewalker 100 chronograph.

However what is interesting and is only mentioned at the end of the press release is the announcement of the Urban Speed collection:
"Montblanc extends this contemporary design concept collection which combines clean lines with architectonic shapes, to the collections of writing instruments and men’s accessories translating the dynamic, progressive red design elements as distinctive signature to all products of this cross-category collection"
Sure I've seen the AP/PP cufflinks, the GP golden bridge fountain pen... but MB is actually going with a whole synchronized collection of products. I think this is a first in the watch industry. I can see a urban speed wallet, a urban speed briefcase, cufflinks, and of course a pen to compliment the watch.
The third release is the E-Strap, which has gotten a lot of mixed reviews around the web.

There were some pretty interesting new wearables shown at CES 2015 but for someone who likes mechanical watches, the E-Strap will be a nice compromise for now. It is less expensive that some of the "dumb" deployants that I've purchased and I am sure I'll grab one as soon as they become available at the boutique to do a review. I just wonder if that screen will take the abuse since it is the buckle that tends to show the most wear on all of my watches. Also I hope one day MB will incorporate a GPS directional feature on the E-Strap so I can get simple directions to get to my designation without having to look at my phone.
But what do you all think we will see at SIHH 2015?
I know we have to get something new from Villeret this year.
Perhaps a glimpse of what to expect from the TimeWriter 3 project?
A new Rieussec?
Can't wait for SIHH.
Cheers, Mike
