Saturday morning!
Enjoying the new acquisition with my wife at a local breakfast joint without the baby (thanks to grandma!).
I had doubts about this bracelet and almost swapped it with some leather straps. I had some trouble removing the bracelet, so I decided to keep it on. After wearing it for a few days, I actually prefer the feel and weight of it over my 5980! It tapers to my wrist better and the weight is perfect as an everyday watch. The functions are also very practical. By now, most of you know I use my chronograph quite a lot. Haha
PS. That’s a traditional Taiwanese breakfast dish. A cross between burrito and omelette. We ordered tuna as the ingredient this time.

I took a few visits
At the local Patek boutique to determine the legibility of the black dial. Yes, it’s definitely less legible than the white dial, but I personally prefer the aesthetic of the black dial. I also love the outer ring surrounding the black dial.

I’m hoping the manufacture will eventually come up with a good equation for a new everyday watch like the 5960. This year’s Polaris line has potential, but I haven’t seen any in flesh. Fingers crossed.

Meaningful water resistance, it would be my PERFECT everyday, everywhere watch. Again, the Polaris Chrono WT has a lot of potential now. Haha
Oh! Forgot about the Geophysics line.
That’s a great contender line. It has more JLC spirit in the dial design compared to the new Polaris dial design, IMHO. I still regret not getting the first Geophysics remake in steel. Being a limited edition that’s done right, it’s so hard to find one in...

congratulations. Very interesting that you find the watch with bracelet more comfortable than the 5980. I actually really like that bracelet. I was told at the Patek store it is inspired by a Patek bracelet from the 30’ies.
The bracelet is shiny
For many people’s taste. I was worried. Once I put it on, I thought it was unnoticeable. Not sure if the bracelet is hollow, I feel it’s lighter and link structure also contours better.

Actually, what do you deal with that with your perpetual calendar or annual calendar watch? It’s a shame not be bring your favorite watch with you because of time different.
