were actually made.
Just returned from a glorious European vacation. No... not to see the Paris version of Wally World.
I was fortunate enough to find a NIB (NOS might be more appropriate since its about 8 or moreish years old) at an RD boutique.
I was told it had made the rounds through many RD boutiques over the years but never sold. It has trivial touches of shop wear (it's probably a true LNIB), but no matter. It's a stellar stunner. Complete box and papers dated four days ago.
I have read they only made 19 of these from a wholy unreliable source. Other information on the piece and other sources don't have a clue or won't divulge the secret number.
The Condottieri predates RD masterminding the 28 piece marketing strategy.
If anyone has the real story on how many they made, I would love to know. It in no way affects my affection for the piece. Hand painted enamel dial, meticulously blued hands, robust 40mm size and all.
I hope someone knows something.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
