I have a question about the 18K RG Reverso Geographique (Limited Edition).
On a newly acquired piece I noticed that when pushing the rectangular "pusher" button which changes the time on the second dial (black face), it is possible to change the time without changing the cities displayed (GMT + or -) if the button is partially pushed. By pushing the button all the way to the case, this does not occur (that is, both the time and the displayed cities change). Does this represent the way the watch was originally made? Or is this evidence of a defect? It does not affect the watch in any other way and if it is a defect, the watch is currently usable and this problem can be corrected when sent for its next servicing. Or is it indicative of something more serious which needs immediate attention?
I would appreciate advice from those with knowledge of this watch either from ownership/use or from those with technical knowledge/expertise. I have written JLC to seek an opinion but would welcome any information members of this forum might provide.
With appreciation for any information provided.
Jack
