Pure folly

Have you ever walked into a Patek boutique just to talk to the sales associate and perhaps look around at what's on display - not interested in any watch in particular? I did this a few years ago in Qatar. Since I don't live full time in Doha I don't expect to be offered a watch so there's absolutely no stress. It's a wonderful frame of mind to visit a Patek boutique with no motivation to hunt or buy. I simply wanted to be in the presence of Patek Philippe, enjoy a coffee and talk watches with the outstanding staff - maybe some current events, light hearted politics, etc. On this particular visit I noticed a 5370P in the most lux showcase area of the boutique. Having nothing to lose and feeling very loose and happy I asked if I could see the watch.

What an absolute treat! I would've preferred looking at the black enamel dial version but the blue was ELECTRIC, deep and mesmerizing.

Does anyone own this specific reference? Do you get to wear it often and is it fun to wear?

in the moment I think this thing is so beautiful that it's impossible to take a bad foto. Then later when I'm looking at the foto I took - I'm disappointed that I didn't take more effort to capture it better. Best, Robert
