Problem with FPJ Deployant: ATTENTION MR. JOURNE!!!

Dear Mr. Journe:

As you know, I am an admirer of yours, and a proud owner of a Zodiaque, which was purchased from an authorized dealer, of course.

I also purchased, at much expense, a platinum deployant buckle to replace the "tang" standard buckle

I love the deployant, but there is a PROBLEM: the strap is not the proper length for a deployant. I will try to explain the best I can below:

The metal (white gold) part of the deplyant which folds, and is under the leather and touches the skin of the wrist--does not lie (is not centered) anywhere near midpoint (under the platinum and visible part of the deployant)on the wrist, which it should. Instead, the folding over metal (white gold) is way off to the side.

I tried reversing the straps at 6:00 o'clock and 12:00 o'clock, but the result is substantially the same--the fold mechanims which touches the wrist is way off center.

I have many deployants. If the strap is properly cut for the deployant, the metal portion that touches the skin of the wrist is CENTERED--not off to the side. This in NECESSARY for comfort.

Now I don't know if your limited edition pieces which come with deployants have leather straps that are fitted for the deployant, and not a tang.

Either way, I spent a lot of money on my platinum deployant, and would really appreciate a strap that is cut properly so the deployant fits as it should.

Please help me--and perhaps others--solve this problem, by supplying a strap that is designed/SIZED for the deployant.

Please feel free to have a representative email me privately (pamlovers@yahoo.com). I'm located in the USA.

Best regards,
cc: MODERATOR, would you forward this post to Mr. Journe?
