Pricing and street prices of NOS, pre-owned, used and vintage watches

 

G'day,

i just locked a thread regarding street prices of pre-owned/vintage watches. Therefore, again some words about watch discussion:

I personally support free speech of every visitor and really love to talk with all of you about almost any aspect of GP watches, current or recent.

One aspect of watch collecting or enthusiasm may be the pricing of vintage/pre-owned or current watches.
Nonetheless, this aspect is not an appropiate discussion theme. There are several reasons:

1. It?s against the ThePuristS.com Discussion Board Code of Conduct.
   
2. It?s based on many many conditions hard to oversee. Such as the origin, age, condition and pedigree of a watch (vintage or new) and recent service (vintage ones), all of them making this an area filled with land mines. In addition, there are professional appraisal services available.
   
3. I certainly do not mind discussions about pricing/sources by private email, but not in this public forum. There are many reasons against those discussion and some of them recently mentioned on WatchRap. One of the reasons is not attract offerings here, another one the impossibility to check sources mentioned and to avoid shill posts.
