howdy everyone.. i finally went for the 18KPG.. ie 5712R.. however, i almost went for the 5980R (but the 5980 is very thick and most of his watches are big and thick so i decided to get the 5712R instead) .. anyway.. the watch looks very very "warm" and my hubby likes it (phew!!) .. thank you everyone here for your kind input and assistance.. really appreciate it. cheers!! - jennifer --------- some additional information for those who are considering 5712 in gold (ie leather strap), they come with an extra strap that is made of some sort of rubber material which looks like calf leather, feels like suede, brown in color which match the rose gold perfectly, it is very thin and flexible and most importantly, it is 100% waterproof! check out the photos above, all shots are with the rubber starps.
