My bet is that its a fake. Ha! Seriously, awesome catch--and clear evidence of all awesome is the 5970G

this one has arabic numerals like those on a 5004. I like them a lot better, personally.

... you need MUCH more money! I reckon if Eric Clapton, a well known collector, pops into Patek in Geneva ... much, much more will be all of a sudden possible. Thank you very much for this observation! Regards Moritz

I just love Patek for their innovative ideas , cause they just PLAY us right down to the bone. I like the way they split us consumers up, so there are now multi-levels of customers. I am curious if Mr. Clapton has to put in his application for limited edi...

Thanks for sharing such a great story! Naturally it makes perfect sense as smart investors get rare Pateks, important Ferrari cars, artwork, historic documents, etc. Nowadays with declining currencies it makes even less sense to hold on to US Dollars/Euro...
