F.P. Journe

possible problem with Calendrier

Hi Folks, I'm the quiet but proud owner of two Journe's (Octa Lune and Resonance) and I sought to add a Calendrier to my stable today. I received it this morning from Fed Ex, but I see there is a glitch ...and wonder if there any answers beyond 'send it in for repair.' When one winds the watch and sets the time it is fine, when setting the retrograde date hand it works until it needs to jump to the next month. At that point, it does not advance the month and the retrograde hand stops at between 7-9 rather than going all the way back to one. When then advancing the date, it clicks 6 times before actually moving, implying to me that the mechanism behind the lever is still counting properly...but the hand it not advancing until it hits the point it jumped back to. As the manual states, I have been sure to wind the watch 20 times in one direction only. Also, I make it a habit of always setting my watches to 6:30 while I set the date so as to never have a problem where it might be advancing the date cylinder already toward the next day. So, that said and done, any ideas? The nightmare of sending a watch back for months of repair on the first day owned doesn't sound desirable to me... :( thanks! Rich
