PATEK 5196P VS 5107P
I am in love with both these pieces and can afford to buy only one of them at this time. I would appreciate any advice from you experienced Patek collectors /owners out there about which you would buy and why. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Well, quite a dilemma, they look to be quite different
On the 5107, the "whole" of this watch works for me. It feels contemporary, masculine, and has a steely (WG) quality to it. I like it quite a bit. The 5107 feels like it aims to make an understatement, yet still being close to the archetype. The dial has ...

Hi, As you pointed out already 5107 might be harder to get than the other piece,therefore in my opinion get the 5107 first. The 5196 may come later cause it is more easier to get if you feel there is need. Personnally,i adore the 5107 more. Thanks. regard...
5107 question
My understanding is that this model is no longer in production, having been replaced by the 5127. Is that so? If it is, are there any ADs that still carry it, or can one find it only on the secondary market? Thanks. - Jon
5196 hands down
photos of the 5196 are still nothing compared to seeing one and wearing it. Mine is saved for special occasions where I need a bit of "pop' on my wrist. the history is there and it is just awesome! it's a great piece you couldn't go wrong. p
