Piaget

New to Piaget Site

Friends,

Be gentle...this is my first post.

I am hopelessly madly in love with watches, and I purchased my first Piaget last week on eBay.  It was somewhat risky purchase because the person selling the watch did not know watches, but I fell in love with this stunningly beautiful watchfrom the eBay pics and could not resist.  The risk seems to have paid off, for when I opened the case back after receipt I found a 9P2 movement and correct markings.  I think this is a genuine Piaget.

The only issue that I have is that I know very little about this watch.  I know (from the plastic card that came with the papers) that this watch was purchased on 17 Dec 94 from a high end jeweler in Detroit.

Can anyone shed some light about the background of this georgeous watch?  The watch is a model 90970. These pictures are ones I found in an Italian auction posting.  The pictures show a watch that is identical to my watch, except for the serial number and that my watch does not have the original plastic on the back. The serial number is very close to the one shown in the attached photos.

Can anyone tell me the back ground about my newest love?
