Deeply unsatisfied with the factory straps - went through 2 rather quickly - I sought out a custom maker to help me with a more durable strap that was consistent with the look and feel of the watch. Ended up working with Attila Aszodi. While still not inexpensive, to hold cost down a bit, I made two straps. One in a more traditional, deep brown/red finish (on watch), and just for fun, one in distressed Whiskey color (left). Both are made well, perfectly fit the unique mounting arrangement (I sent Attila the old strap - on right) and shortly into the first wearing the new strap fit nicely on the wrist.
Side note: I adore this watch for daily use. Love the weight and simple look of the piece. Attracts attention, but it is not overly flashy. Only regret is the Bronzed PVD treatment is NOT durable. The manufacturer has not been helpful and claims that the scratching helps make the watch look more vintage. After this experience, relative to long term ownership and actually wearing my watches, I would never get a watch coated with anything. IMHO, I would prefer the vintage look without the scratches - but perhaps that is just me.
