New ABP Alligator Strap for Sixties
I recently received this beige gator strap from ABP, and I'm very pleased. To my eye it nicely complements the ever-changing moods of the green dial in all lighting conditions. The artisans at ABP did an outstanding job matching my requested measurements, all dimensions are within half a millimeter of what I asked for. I told them I like very raised and rounded scales (deep crevices between the scales) and that I like unusual scale patterns. What they delivered exceeded my expectations! The chosen patterns coupled with the depth of the crevices create very striking visual shadow effects.
I also own a black square scale ABP strap for this watch and that's a glorious combo. I regularly receive positive comments from strangers when I wear the black strap. I wonder if the beige one will attract the same level of attention. Time will tell! The new beige strap takes the watch in a very different direction, and the overall effect seems in keeping with the bold "swinging sixties" aesthetic without being too far out, man.
