One of the big reasons why I buy my Pateks from ADs is so that i can have my name in the archives, as I have no intention to sell most of the watches I purchase.
I recently came across some good deals with box and papers from grey dealers but did not "jump" on them because of the fact that they were already in someone elses name.
How do you guys feel about buying Pateks that arent in your name? Depend on the value?

Ownership
I will buy a watch because I really like it very much. Doesn't matter if its preowned. What matters is I will not sell it for a profit subsequently . I have been collecting for 19 years and not sold any of my watches .

if I remeber well you are owner ( no importance name on paper ) for PP after 5 years from your purchase from someone else ( not dealer) Your name in the archivies can be changed with your name if you own the watch since at least 5 years . But pls some one...
