Master Calendar or RDM
Hi All. Love the site. It was a great resource for me prior to buying my first JLC at the start of the year when I took the plunge on the new MC Chrono on a chocolate brown strap. Great wrist presence, and it's nice to have an altenrative to the ubiquitous Panerai in NYC, especially on a my somewhat smaller wrist. Love the watch.
Anyway, I'm looking for a compliment dress watch, and, despite searching many different brands, I find myself eyeing a return to JLC. I love the design of the RDM, but I also like the (albeit less classic) syle of the new Master Calendar. I am concerned that the phasing out of these smaller watches may make the RDM less impactful on the wrist, and possibly dated. I like a 40mm watch, but am also concerned that the 13mm height may be difficult to fit under double cuff dress shirts, etc. Thoughts on design, size, movement, anything else?
Also, thoughts on the stainless steel vs. rose gold? The Stainless is obviously much cheaper, but I think the watch is lovely in that gold....
