Looking for watch 44mm and bigger?

I just posted under Gerald Genta about not being sure whether i should get a GG Biretro Arena, IWC Big Pilot or a Panerai. This is going to be my first "Real Watch" so i'm really taking my time soaking in as many advice as possible. The IWC Big Pilot is slightly above my initial budget and i'll be stretching it quite a bit so i'm looking for something in the  $6k range.

I was initially quite adamant on my 3 choices above, but after spending the past few hrs going through the forum i think i'm going to keep my options a bit wider because i'm quite sure there are tonnes of watch i'm not familiar with that are gorgeous.

I love Big and Chunky watches, i've been wearing a 46mm for years now so i won't be comfortable trying anything smaller. I even tried on a Glashutte Sports Evolution Chrono recently, i liked the style, the weight and the thickness but it just looks too small for me - even the dealer agreed (i'm quite a big guy). Also tried on the JLC's Master Compressor, nice design but the same deal - too small.

So what do you guys recommend? I currently have 2 Zeno Watch Basel (nope, not very popular, but i just like the sportiness and the size of the watch.  One's a skeleton (ETA Movement) while the other's a sports chrono (Dubois Depraz Movement), i'm really hoping to look for a new watch with an in-house movement.

So it's up to you guys and ladies out there to enlighten me!

P.S: Bill, i know your going to pull me into the Panerai side...well keep the pictures coming i might be swayed..

Thanks!!
