Some days ago, I purchased a Laureato. The ref. 81100, i.e. the standard version with the grey-blue shimmering dial. It was "new" (old stock). I have had a Laureato Olimpico with a blue dial before which is a gorgeous watch and in my personal opinion even more beautiful than the RO Chrono. However, I noticed myseld that I like a thin watch more than the usual big and bold sports watches. This was also the reason why I sold my IWC Aquatimer quite a while ago. Now, I have as sporty watch for daily use only the Laureato and - I really like it. It fits under the cuffs and does not shout for attention. Its look is distinctive, but sets you apart from the guys wearing Rolex and other "standard" watch brands. Its a fine watch, indeed! Nevertheless, the price is much better than for a RO or a Nautilus or the Overseas, which might be more accepted and more famous, but not significant better than the Laureato.
