JLC Geomatic E560 advice
Hello everyone.
Introduction 1st since it's my 1st post here.
I'm Ruan and I love watches, my dumb luck or destiny I inherited this beautiful watch.
The problem is that it has a tiny crack in the crystal inside the case in the corner.
I'm torn, as no one can help me find a new crystal and I can't afford sending it to Jaeger-LeCoultre themselves, now I'm not sure if I should sell it for something more robust I actually can wear or keep it and never wear it after it's service.
Does anyone here know of someone who can source a new one.
Apologise for the bad picture it's a screenshot from the only video I took upon receiving it and taking it to my watchmamer.

You have the answer to your question. If you never wear it because of its glass, then no need to service it. You will not easily find a good glass, as it is not a common Geomatic.
So, either you send it to JLC for a service and a glass replacement, or you sell it. But in this condition, you will not sell it well... Best, Nicolas

Is there any easier means to reach him than enquiring on the website or is that the best means of reaching him? I see their watchmaker has retired.
its a rare model-only 250 pieces made between 1962-68
try and get a quote from AD - and send it to jlc in switzerland. or sell -as is-untouched. the case reminds me of the CLUB ...

if you love the watch and don’t want to sell it at a sharp discount, why not wear it as is? You will lose water resistance but I wouldn’t trust any vintage watch to be water resistant without a thorough vetting. Maybe just take it off when you wash your h...
