Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde SW Noir

Of late I've been quite attracted to the darker watches. I recently reveiwed Vacheron Constantin's Quai de l'Ile in titanium on the VC forum. I've grown to appreciate Bell & Ross's creations, especially those with the carbon finish. And now I've seen the Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Sport Watch Noir and I like it more than the standard SW. It is limited to 88 watches.

One thing is for sure, photographing these dark cased watches is a challenge:

The PVD finished steel case reflects like a mirror (and shows fingerprints!). The rubber dial gives a a different feel of black.

I like the ruthenium finish on the movement plates, which is a nice change from the usual rhodium. Count me as a fan of this variation on the theme of the Grande Seconde (though my all time favorite JD is the Grande Seconde with the black onyx dial).
