Jaeger-LeCoultre

Jaeger Lecoultre Geophysic Crosshairs E 168 in Yellow Gold.

I didn't see that much in that dial configuration. I checked, this is the second one, only, the first belonging to the Manufacture's collection.

The archives department says that there were 222 made, in yellow gold, but we don't know how many came with this crosshairs dial. Saying that a very few of them came in this configuration is certainly factually correct.

If I refer to the case number ( 775 xxx ) we are most probably in presence of one of the last ones, the Geophysic being produced from 1958 to 1961.

On this example, you will notice the presence of the correct plexy and the famous dots located each five minutes all around the dial.

Of course, the dust cover in soft iron is present, and I included a shot of the Cal P 478 BWSBr, because it is always exciting to see a great chronometer movement.

Enjoy the pictures:

Another watch with History: Its owner worked in a mine company for 40 years, and received it as a gift.

The mandatory " full monty " shot: Case Back, Dust Cover, and movement.

When it comes to the Geophysic, the movement is for a big part the richness of this watch, so a dedicated shot is necessary.

Best,

Nicolas
