Horological Meandering

Interesting vintage Heuer...

Just picked up this interesting little Heuer. Seller said from the 50s, but given the movement has Heuer Leonidas stamped on it, probably from the 60s?

The two things that spoke to me in pulling the trigger was the color of the dial and the shape of the lugs...

Pop open the back, and...

Looks like a Valjoux 77...

The crown seems to be a 3rd party replacement. The hole in the case is slightly larger than that of the crown, so it fits loosely. The stem is slightly bent/wobbly anyway, so need to track down proper replacement stem & crown soon...

Love the arrow shape of the minute counter hand and the red print on the pink/copper dial!

So - I think this Heuer is pretty interesting between these two other pieces... It looks very different versus a Heuer brother and rather feels like a mini Vacheron with its flared lugs and similar dial tone!
