In market for first JLC
I'm a young new wannabe collector, with limited budget and have settled upon JL for offering unsurpassed craftsmanship for a reasonable price. I'm in the market for either a Reverso (Grand Taille or preferably Duo) or a Master Control (possibly Ultra Thin) in steel with leather strap.
My wrist is VERY small, around 14cm or 5.5 inches. I know a Reverso Classique would probably be more suited to this but I would be reluctant to spend so much money on a watch with a fully printed face.
I live in Switzerland and have found my local ADs to be cheaper than those at home in the UK. I wonder if the JL boutique (Geneve) will offer the same discount (10%) as I was offered by the unfriendly, unknowledgable airport dealer? Also, I wouldn't be averse to finding a good, reputable second-hand dealer, especially as I like the look of the older Duoface too.
Can anyone advise me on the best options open to me? Especially with regard to the sizes of the MC. Also are there any good online articles/reviews about the Duo (I've found good ones on the Master Control UT)? If anyone can advise on the dealer aspect of my query, my e-mail is iattw at bluewin.ch.
