I had a chance to test drive the rattrapante the other day...
.... have a question on this piece. It's really stunning seeing how the two seconds hands work, but I was quite surprised to see something unusual (I think or maybe it's normal). When I press the button on the crown to resume the normal timing, the first seconds hand that stopped earlier bounced back vigourously back to the other seconds hand still moving. I mean it doesn't slide back smoothly to catch-up the other still moving seconds hand, but it does a few bounces before it sticks back together with the other hand (hope I describe it clearly.....) I remember seeing another one a couple of months back and remember it wasn't like this. Is this normal, or is there something wrong with the second piece. I have not seen how the other rattrapantes work, so I am not very sure. Some enlightenment? Thanks for your help.
