GP Gyromatic Circa 1950

I have a 10K gold filled GP Gyromatic that was given to my father in 1950 (according to the inscription). The case number is T969830B1750. The watch has a round face with champagn dial and gold hands. Arabic numbers. The movement has 17 jewels and marked 47 A 5327. Also has a gold-toned Speidel expandable band with link design.

It looks good and works, but I'm interested in having it serviced/restored by Tradema of America. It has been serviced a few times over the years but not by an authorized GP service center.

What is usually done when a watch such as this is restored? I'd also like to change out the Speidel for a nice leather band. Does it matter where I get a leather band? Does GP sell them?

Thanks, Bill
