GP 2005: The WW.TC Tourbillon

Dear enthusiasts,

here it comes:

I really love this watch; for me it?s the most beautiful world timer and one of the most beautiful watches GP ever made.

Not only because of GP?s great classic movement, which itself makes a dream watch. But the wonderful dial as well, as the the watch is so well balanced and exciting. The small second makes for a calm appearance, which goes very nicely with the city ring. It?s a really beautiful piece with wonderful proportions.
The slightly thinner dimensions towards the WW.TC and the curved case result in a very nice feeling on the wrist; for me and my smallish wrist it?s definitely more wearable than the WW.TC and does look much better. The WW.T "Power Reserve" is a little smaller and does fit my wrist better, but the Tourbillon wears really great.

The new crowns do help a lot, as the right crown (for movement operation) is significantly thinner than the screw-down WW.TC chrono crown.

Another aspect i do appreciate is the subtle look; on arm length, the "Tourbillon" inscription is hard to see and actually it?s not decided if it will be placed in that position. So it does not look like high complication. But when you turn it, the sun is shining
It?s kind of a secret piece, with the full beauty only to be shared with friends and not on first sight. I do like this understated approach very much and the WW.T Tourbillon most probably will be the stealth piece in GP?s portfolio.

As for the world time indication, the mechanism is basically the same as the wildly popular WW.TC. So i can safe myself from a description, because i do know many of you out there are familiar with the chrono variant.

The WW.T Tourbillon will be available in two case materials, Pink Gold and White Gold.
The White Gold pieces come with grey dials, whereas the Pink Gold variant sports a creme/ivory/white dial.

The diameter is 43mm and it comes with the manual-wind variant of GP?s Three Gold Bridges movement, which offers a power reserve of 75 hours (!).
The reference for these is 99350.

Again the back view

Who could withstand such a beauty
I think it?s truly a great piece. With GP?s Haute Horlogerie pieces being produced in very small quantities, backorders on Tourbillon watches are close to 2008. Therefore, better check back with your dealer soon...

Greetings from germany,

Peter
