"In very sad news for watch fans the world over, legendary designer Gérald Genta has died.
We have received confirmation of his passing from multiple sources and are awaiting further details. For those who don't know, Génta was responsible for a handful of the most iconic watch designs of the 20th century, including Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak, Patek Philippe's Nautilus, IWC's Ingenieur SL, Universal Geneve's Polerouter, Omega's Seamaster Constellation, Bvglari's "Bvlgari Bvlgari" and several more."
Incredible legacy for this man.

What a pity. A great man who had contributed more than a lot to watchmaking has passed sadly, may he rip.
A sad loss
He leaves behind a body of work for which he will always be remembered and celebrated.
For the Omega fans...
..we can never forget his famous C case Constellation. Thomas (tdn.dk) posted this beauty in June....
