First Purchase of 2017 : And unexpected one...

When I said unexpected is that because I've never thought to be getting any watch with coloured gold this soon, nor did I expect to be getting a DayDate..

Not that I don't like a DayDate or a coloured gold watch. It's just that I always have the thought that it will be hard for me to pull off one. I've always liked them and i've always envied people who can pull it off..

So the story went back about 2 years ago when a friend showed me what he found from the original owner, an early 1803 from 1960 with Black Gilt - non Luminous dial. The bracelet was in terrible condition so that it couldn't be saved and so was the original plexi..

I was indecisive that I wanted to see it first before I could decide, and of course someone else beat me to it..

Fortunately the opportunity came and I was offered this piece, and I know I can't be indecisive as before...

And so here it is.. My first gold watch, my first DayDate, early 1803 Black Gilt - Non Luminous dial.
