My 60th birthday is coming up this month and I resolved to myself that I would get a nice present to celebrate this important milestone.
Some of you may agree that watch dinners are extremely dangerous, especially to watch-nuts like me as they lure us into plunging at our weak moments. Admittedly, it was over a year ago that I first spotted the RM 23 in white gold - on an occasion that Richard Mille graced Hong Kong personally, introducing his new models. I did not pay much attention to this piece until I tried the watch on my wrist at the Pacific Place boutique several weeks ago...it was WOW!
Psychologically, one motivating factor was that I did not acquire anything at the Christie's auction two days ago (if you look up the auction results, some prices went right through the roof), so I do have some budget to play around with...
I used to own a RM 10 in rose gold but lately I am leaning towards the more subtle white metal. Also, the RM 10 is a slightly bigger piece and it was like a chunk of gold sitting on the wrist...
Enough said. Allow me to share my delight with some pictures:
First of all, the mesmerizing depth of the watch is amazing:

One last look at the movement:

Here are some old pictures of the RM 10:
