Good evening everyone,
I would like to introduce myself to the Lange Forum. I recently acquired an 1815 moonphase “Homage to F. A. Lange” after waiting what seemed to be an eternity. I thoroughly enjoy reading all the discussions and hope to contribute to this community of true watch enthusiats/nuts
. I'd like aknowledge your help in bringing this particular watch to my attention as well.
What can I say, the watch exceeded all of my expectations, which were at an already high level after reading all of posts/reviews on this forum. I was previously worried that the watch would feel small on my wrist as my daily watch is an oil tanker by comparison, a Rolex Deepsea Seadweller. After getting accustomed to the size relatively quickly, I was immersed in all of the details of the watch.
The honey gold color has just the right hint of yellow that gives it an understated look while still offering the warmth of traditional gold. I have caught myself a number of times having a blank stare on my face as I gaze upon the guilloche dial, along with the blued hands and moonphase indicator. It certainly hasn't aided my productivity for the short time that I've owned it. On the back, I love how the decorations, particularly the solarisation on the outer edge, create this swirling reflection on the back that makes the light appear to "dance."
I hope this watch stays in my family, consistently wound, and therefore my great great great great . . . great grand children can adjust the moonphase in 1058 years.
Pleasure to meet you all,
Nabil
