I never knew there were two version of the minute repeater movement. I have only seen the one shown on the bottom. The one on top looks to be much higher end with a free sprung balance, better bridge architecture, and finer beveling on the bridges.
The yellow gold seems to use the René and Papi movement. To my eye the top one looks like it might be an F Piguet/Blancpain cal 33, but just a guess. I read that the René and Papi is reported to be a bit subdued in sound. ...
