Saw the gold and rhodium versions in London. New to me but just loved the look. It can compensate for big movements(as on pitching seas) and compensate for these movements and keep time quite accurately. Only 12 month warrant. possible 2 with registration. Shop person said watch typically only needs service every 15-20 years. Any info on this brand would be greatly appreciated. Pretty pricey retail 12-15k british sterlings.

Well, you can pay a lot more for these clocks ...
... for example when made by Robert Bray (Sinclair Harding). Comitti clocks are well made, but not with the exceptional movement finish seen by the more expensive Harding clocks. I have one (not one of the marine clock series, but a classic mantel clock)...

thnx Marcus, price is not outrageous. My concern is with a one year warranty do you think clock with b accurate and problem free for the bulk of ownership?. Also how do you think it compares to a JLC clock? thnx Nick

compare this one with an Atmos, which is a completely different technology. I would also not bet on a high accuracy of this Comitti clock. Contrary to their classic examples, they are not built to offer dependable navigation, but to "entertain", to look g...
