Chronograph watches>>>

Hi purist community,

Could I just check if I were to run the chronograph, and at the same time, adjust the time, will this cause any problem to the watch. I mean, is the whole system, the mechanics inside this type of watch, the chronograph and the time, intergrated together so that if one of the function is operating (the chronograph), the other function (adjusting of time) will have to wait until the first function is completed before I can proceed with the second function. I am referring to both the Type XX and the 5237. Perhaps the Type XX is more rugged than the 5237, hence is able to withstand the heavier workload, the friction? Or is it the same in any types of chronograph watches. I was afraid it will affect the mechanism inside the watch...., in a negative way .

Thanks for your input.

Cheers
