I have been selling of some watches lately, and of watches left with a Chronograph-function - only two are still in the house. A basic Breitling Avenger and an IWC 3717.
I used to have a few Chronos, but with my limited creativity, I often have a hard time finding true "useful" situations to use the Chrono-function.
Many chronographs are cool, nice to look at and technically interesting - but I appreciate the opportunity to be able to use my watch's function for something "serious" and practical if possible.
Thus, my love for GMT and dual-timezone watches are high, and when traveling, the various functions are actually in use.
But tonight I found one opportunity for a Chrono to be brought out of the box
We have a friend living next to the sea, and when visiting, he had a nice surprise for us.
A bag was handled over, and here...was the content.

Never prepared these animals our self before - only eaten them finished prepared at restaurants.
So, off to the shop, and a huge casserole had to be purchased.
Salty water boiling and in they go
And there...yes, the Breitling comes to use. fun. Aiming at roughly 12 min for this one.
Voilà, ready
Cooled down quickly, parted/cleaned and finally consumed with some fresh white bread, mayonnaise, butter and lime.
Tomorrow, the rest will be ingredients of a spicy curry dish - I am told by the wife. Looking forward already
Not sure if we did this the perfect way as I mentioned, this was a very first time for us, but tasty they were so quite pleased with the result.
Thanks for looking,
Bent
