Kind Readers,
I have recently inherited a Patek Philippe wrist watch. The watch case and bracelet are 18K gold. I believe it is late 50's/60's vintage but I do not know the model/ref number. It is a very simple model. No seconds hand or seconds dial, no date -- just hours and minutes.

There is a small (but very noticable) "dimple" in the watch dial (yes, beneath the crystal). Some watch maker probably attempted (and bungled) a repair of some sort. Is it better to have such a thing repaired/replaced or should I just consider it part of the "personality" of the watch and leave it be?
I have no intention to sell the watch. I am thrilled to have a PP in my collection (my first!). I am interested in a ball park street price for such a watch so that I can make appropriate arrangements for insurance until I get a proper appraisal. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
