Blast from the past - or a quick check of some historical Jaegers I would want to have
Having had the unexpected pleasure of finding myself downtown during working hours yesterday, I took advantage and had a look at some older JLC models that I very much liked in principle but never managed to try out first hand. The pictures one sees here tend to be seductive by nature, and there are many friends and members, who gently but surely nudge one towards horological bliss.

Still, some watches work better on some wrists than on others, so trying things on is an essential element.
First came the JLC Reverso Gran Sport Chrono that I have been ogling for ages. I am actually more interested in the rubber strap rather than the bracelet model but decided to give one a try, as no strap options appear to be available in the vicinity. It looked correct and in decent nick to my untrained eyes, and the watch certainly has allure. I guess it would be somewhat lighter and thereby more appealing without the bracelet, and the size is generally fine. A subsequent detour to the JLC detour showed me that the TT1931 fits me somewhat better in terms of case shape and size, though. Certainly one to remain on the wishlist for the moment
Next came this lovely Memovox, with sapphire caseback, which is even nicer in real life than on pictures. Can understand members waxing lyrical about theirs very well, and I simply love the size, as well as the dial and what goes on in the back
Last but certainly not least, the Amvox 2. By far the chunkiest of the trio but what a cool piece! The lug shape and titanium construction conspire to both make it fit on my relatively tender wrist, and to be very comfortable due to the light weight. I love it, and the chrono activation is a really, really cool feature. A truly cool sports watch that I hope to call mine in some form relatively soon.
One that was missing yesterday was the Master Compressor Memovox. First of all there was none that could be tried on but luckily I have already done so previously and know that it's a definite

Well, after the 'field trial' all I can say is I hope to be able to start showing here what I finally got from the JLC portfolio soon
