Black vintage Memovox...

This year I have not had much time to post. Real life has taken over.
Work, travel, more work…
But I did have time to squeeze in some watches in between!
You all know my fascination with the Funky 70’s.
And the peak of all the Funky Memovox during this period was, IMO, the Snowdrop!
Others may think the Polaris II is even funkier, but for me the Snowdrop has it all!
The big and bulky case, the non-existing lugs, the three dimensional dial, combination of polished and brushed surfaces, oddly shaped bezel…
It has it all!
Here is one of my findings from earlier this year: E 877 Snowdrop – black dial.
With its 43 mm round case (14 mm high) it’s a fairly big watch (from this period), but on the wrist it’s not too big.
Actually, on the contrary – like all the Funky Memovox it sits perfect on the wrist!
What could be a better backdrop for this beauty that the first frost of the year?
An interesting fact is that between the three of them, there are only 32 numbers.
So they probably left the manufacture approximately at the same time…
One I found in Portugal, one in Hungary and one in Sweden.
Now forty years later they are re-united!
