Any opinions/feedback on the pam88
I'm considering the purchase of the pam88 and would like feedback from those who
already own one or have knowledge on it. Being a 'non in-house' movement is there really
much of a difference with regards to its performance i.e. reliability/accuracy over time, as compared
to panerai's 'in-house' movements?. Many thanks.

The movement in the PAM 88
is a real workhorse - the OPVIII / Valjoux 7750-P1. It has a history of being very robust and reliable (at least to COSC standards). If that is your issue, have no worries. Cheers, Asi

I also want to point out that just because a movement is "in-house" doesn't mean it's "better" or "more accurate". Most of the time, if not all the time, these non in-house movements are as robust and accurate as in-house movements. The main thing why man...

Thanks for that, in the 88 i'm looking for an everyday reliable workhorse and am glad to hear the ETA movement it uses will do the job. No point driving the ferrari everyday! Many thanks.
