Of course I am a traditionalist. And for Blancpain that generally means a watch from the Fifty Fathoms, Villeret or Le Brassus collections. But this watch from the L-evolution Collection really won me over. First off it is really bold. It has six different layers on the dial side and gives off different looks depending on the angle of view. And it is really a hunk of rose gold. The watch has an 8 day power reserve and the calendar plate is secure, meaning there is zero danger of harming the movement when setting the watch, even at midnight. I enjoy the way its personality contrasts with the more restrained Villeret models.

My biggest concern is the too big applied numbers at 3 and 9 o'clock.

Hi, I think when the dial is full with numbers and other things it looks a bit messed course this my opinion.I also prefer fifty fathoms for Blancpain. regards...

The thing I find most out of place is the "30" all by itself at the bottom of the dial.
